CHP were engaged at an early stage to create a high quality office space at Euston Road in the heart of London’s Knowledge Quarter.
- Cost Management for varied workspace in London’s Knowledge Quarter
- Space comprises 150 seats for individual workstations; a mix of smaller and larger office units for companies to adopt and adapt, a fitness studio, individual terraces, wellbeing facilities and bar
- CHP actively managed the costs from early RIBA stages, enabling the design to be developed to budget, including a remarkable bespoke feature ceiling to the ground floor
The project involved some challenging bespoke features including a striking wave ceiling made from glass reinforced gypsum and suspended from the soffit and a seventh floor feature floor including bespoke joinery items and terrace.
Working with the design team, we actively managed costs to ensure the design was developed to budget. Procuring the works through a traditional negotiated tender, we interrogated the bid and helped to drive value for money.
We carried out significant market testing for the ground floor feature ceiling proposal, which proved challenging to cost-plan during early stages of the project.
